Valplast is an affordable & comfortable alternative to traditional tooth replacement options.

Today, there are many different denture solutions for patients with tooth loss. The option that is right for you will depend on many factors including:

  • The number of teeth you are missing
  • Your budget
  • Your oral health
  • Extent of bone loss

At our Calgary denture clinic, we offer many different types of denture solutions, from flexible partial dentures to implant-supported dentures, designed to give back both the aesthetic appeal of your smile and the functionality of a healthy jaw.

What are Valplast Flexible Dentures?

Valplast flexible dentures are an innovative tooth replacement option for patients who are looking for a solution that is aesthetic, comfortable and affordable. Made from a flexible plastic material, this denture can adapt to the constant movement and flexibility of your mouth, providing total comfort and great looks.

Benefits of Valplast Flexible Dentures

When wearing partial dentures made from metal, you can experience a host of issues ranging from discomfort to an unnatural finish. To combat these issues, many denturists often recommend Valplast.

Valplast is a flexible partial denture that is made from a special acrylic metal and has many benefits including:

1. Color

The biggest benefit of Valplast dentures is that its acrylic material blends in with the natural tones of the mouth tissues. Unlike traditional partial dentures, Valplast is designed to be almost invisible in your mouth, providing natural-looking replacement teeth.

2. Comfort

Because Valplast dentures are made from acrylics instead of metal, the overall size tends to be thinner and more flexible. This allows the dentures to feel more natural and less bulky in the mouth.

3. Durability

Another benefit of Valplast dentures is their durability. They are virtually unbreakable due to their flexibility and acrylic material. In addition, the acrylic material will not break down when exposed to the chemicals in your food, drinks and the natural enzymes in your mouth.

4. Material

Valplast’s acrylic material is lightweight, yet strong, giving you a denture that is very thin but extremely durable. It is also monomer-free and less allergenic compared to other fixtures, making it a great option for patients who cannot expose their mouths to metal.

Keep in Mind…

While Valplast flexible dentures have many incredible benefits and can be used for a large majority of patients, they do have certain limitations you must keep in mind when deciding if they are the right tooth replacement option for you.

  • You must have remaining teeth

Valplast flexible dentures cannot be used for complete dentures or for patients with extensive periodontal disease. This is because it partially depends on surrounding natural teeth for structure.

In addition, the more teeth you are missing, the more expensive your Valplast fixture is going to be.

  • It cannot be relined

Another aspect of Valplast that you must keep in mind is that it cannot be relined. Instead, the entire fixture will have to be rebased, which costs more and takes more time to be completed. However, given its material, the need to reline Valplast is much less than other dentures.
