Flexible dentures in Calgary, free of metal clasps.
Flexible partial dentures such as Valplast and FlexiLytes are made from a thin thermoplastic material that fits neatly in your mouth and is virtually invisible, with no metal clasps needed to hold them in place.
Two flexible options, one goal: comfort.
Every patient’s needs are different, so Future Smiles offers a range of flexible denture products. The flexibility, strength and light weight of these materials are why we often recommend them.
Valplast Flexible Dentures
Made from a cast thermoplastic material, Valplast dentures are thin and lightweight, with nearly invisible clasps that surround the natural teeth.
FlexiLytes Dentures
An alternative to cast partial dentures, FlexiLytes are made from biocompatible thermoplastic and can use clear or tissue-coloured clasps.

Flexible denture questions, answered.
What are flexible dentures made of?
Flexible dentures are made from a thin, flexible nylon-based material instead of rigid acrylic and metal. Brands include Valplast and FlexiLytes. The gum-coloured material grips your natural teeth, so there are no visible metal clasps.
Are flexible dentures right for everyone?
Flexible partials work well for many people missing a few teeth, especially those who want a metal-free option. They are less suitable when many teeth are missing or when teeth may need to be added later. Your denturist will help you compare options.
How do I care for a flexible denture?
Clean it daily with a soft brush and a non-abrasive denture cleaner, and avoid very hot water, which can distort the material. Professional cleaning helps remove stubborn staining, and Future Smiles patients receive one complimentary cleaning each year.
Do I need a referral to see a denturist in Calgary?
No. You can contact Future Smiles directly to book a free consultation at our Coral Springs (NE) or Macleod Trail (SW) clinic. If your situation needs coordination with your dentist or another oral health provider, our team will discuss that with you.
Does insurance or CDCP cover this service?
Future Smiles accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), NIHB, AISH and major dental insurance plans, with direct billing where available. Coverage, eligibility and co-payments vary by plan, so our team reviews your expected patient portion with you before treatment begins. Medicard financing is also available for eligible treatment.
