Complete dentures in Calgary, designed around you.
When all of the natural teeth in an upper or lower arch are missing, a complete denture can restore your smile, comfort and everyday function. Your denturist will assess your needs and explain the options that suit your preferences and budget.
Two ways to build a complete denture.
Whichever option you choose, our commitment stays the same: quality, affordable tooth replacement made by our own Calgary team.
Standard Full Dentures
An economical way to restore a full arch of teeth.
Equilibrated Full Dentures
A more personalized denture built around how your own jaw moves.
What is involved in getting a complete denture?
Future Smiles offers a wide selection of tooth shapes, colours and denture materials. Your individual sequence may vary, but the process generally includes these stages.
Dental impressions
An accurate impression and measurements of your mouth are taken and used to create your custom denture.
Bite moulds
Wax blocks are used to check your bite. Your denturist can also help you choose the shape and colour of your new teeth.
Wax models
Your new teeth are set in wax so you can see how the finished denture is expected to look and work before it is completed.
Fitting
Your denturist places the finished denture, checks the fit, bite and appearance, and explains how to care for it.
Understand pricing, coverage and financing before treatment.
Future Smiles offers free consultations, accepts major dental insurance including CDCP, NIHB and AISH, offers direct billing where available, and provides access to Medicard financing for eligible treatment.

Standard or precision full dentures?
Complete dentures, also called full dentures, replace every tooth on the upper jaw, the lower jaw or both. Future Smiles makes them in our Calgary lab in two main styles.
| Style | What it involves | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Standard complete denture | Impressions, bite records and tooth selection, with a try-in for eligible cases | Most patients replacing a full arch |
| Precision (equilibrated) denture | Extra records of how your jaw moves, so the bite is balanced through chewing movements | Patients who want the most stable, natural-feeling bite |
| Implant-supported denture | A full denture that clips onto dental implants | Patients who want more retention, especially on the lower jaw |

What is the difference between complete and full dentures?
There is no difference: complete dentures and full dentures are two names for the same thing. Both replace all of the teeth on the upper jaw, the lower jaw or both, and rest on the gums using suction and a precise fit.
How long does it take to make full dentures?
A new set of complete dentures usually takes several appointments over a few weeks, including impressions, bite records, a try-in for eligible cases and delivery. If you are having teeth removed, ask about immediate dentures so you are not without teeth while you heal.
Will my full dentures look natural?
Your denturist selects tooth shape, size and shade to suit your face, and the try-in appointment lets you see and approve the appearance before the denture is finished. Many patients bring a photo of their earlier smile to help guide the design.
Why does my lower full denture feel loose?
Lower dentures have less surface area for suction than upper dentures, and the tongue moves them more. A reline, a better-balanced bite or an implant-supported lower denture can improve stability. Your denturist can assess which option suits you.
Do I need a referral to see a denturist in Calgary?
No. You can contact Future Smiles directly to book a free consultation at our Coral Springs (NE) or Macleod Trail (SW) clinic. If your situation needs coordination with your dentist or another oral health provider, our team will discuss that with you.
Does insurance or CDCP cover this service?
Future Smiles accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), NIHB, AISH and major dental insurance plans, with direct billing where available. Coverage, eligibility and co-payments vary by plan, so our team reviews your expected patient portion with you before treatment begins. Medicard financing is also available for eligible treatment.
